Matt provides good, hard workout but keeps it reasonable to my abilities so that I will be able to continue with this level of training and not lose interest. I exercised on my own prior to working with Matt, but my fitness is much better now.
The education I have received from Matt has made me aware of my body. I used to take “movement” for granted. I see improvements in my ability to perform everyday activities. That’s quite a return on my investment.
I fell and had a break in my shoulder joint before working with Matt. Since working with Matt, my arm movement has improved, my pain has decreased, and I can sleep uninterrupted by pain. I have significantly improved my balance and core strength.
I wasn’t making noticeable improvement on my own. With Matt, I have strength and balance beyond what I thought was possible at my age of 65. Not only has Matt helped me, he has done it in a very professional, yet personable way. He challenges me, but always with the caution my age and condition suggest. I feel confident that I will continue to improve. Matt carefully assessed my strengths and weaknesses and closely monitors my weekly progress. I resumed playing golf and I continued my volunteer work which sometimes involves lifting heavy books.
Matt tailored a program around my abilities and helped me work toward my goals. He is knowledgeable, positive, and encouraging. He has changed my approach to exercise. Initially, I wanted to “jump” right into weight training. Matt’s approach is to strengthen the core and work on improving balance. I now see the wisdom and benefit of his approach. The value of Matt’s guidance, approach, and positive encouragement are well worth my investment. I would absolutely recommend Matt to anyone!
I have gone down two clothes sizes while working with Matt. I am also slowly but surely gaining endurance and improving my balance and flexibility.
